In an effort to save a wee bit of time & energy, I often start a newsletter by using the previous newsletter as the spring board. In doing so, I noticed the golden neutrals that inspired me last week. This week, I see I have been inspired by silvery neutrals! Saturday, Foxy Squirrel was open late for the ALS in the Heartland Wine & Beer Walk. What was extra cool, is that a family who took part in the event won one of the gift certificates donated by Foxy Squirrel. The daughter got to come back to the shop, gift certificate in hand, to create this silvery palette to go with the gentle pastels she chose earlier! I love that so much!! Miyuki Baroque Pearls are pressed‑glass pearls with a luminous finish and intentionally irregular shapes, giving each bead a soft, organic wobble. Unlike traditional pearls, they’re lightweight, durable, and wonderfully consistent in hole size—making them perfect for adding vintage charm, texture, and a touch of playful imperfection to bead‑woven designs. They are available in several soft and almost matte-metallic colors in 5/0 and 6/0 sizes at Foxy Squirrel. The generous hole size make them one of my go-to beads when I want to add beads to a macrame project.
