What was the best part of your holiday weekend? I was going to tell you that I hoped you had a marvelous weekend. Of course, I want every one of your days to be marvelous. What I really wonder is what makes your moments wonderful to you?

Goodness. I never know how these emails will start until I sit down. I have loads of thoughts and ideas before I flip the laptop open. Once I'm actually here, it is usually a suprise to me what I actually type.

I have 2 color inspo pics for you this week. The first could be called 'Fire in the Sky', or 'The Calm Fiery Side of the Storm'. Naturally, the image isn't quite as fiery as it was Friday evening when I took the picture through the rain and hail. But that palette with the sky full of warm bright colors behind living, breathing greenery beckons me to get my Beads to see if I can capture that LIFE.

The second contains a Beader's selections that may not be intended for the same piece but the textures, finishes, and shapes give me goosebumps so I simply had to share them. Wouldn't those Long Magatama Beads & those colors make an excellent macrame piece?!! I think I will add them to my wrap bracelet I started at Crafty Craft! Now I have to add that picture for you... Hold, please... There we go. The button was one of 4 my fashion-designing niece brought for me from France...Can you see the tiny shell and floral bits? Maybe that's what I should work on at Open Beading this week since I finished my earrings I started there last week!! (see way below)

Owning a Bead Shop means I don't get to Bead very often. When I do, the thrill is immense!!! I make sure to stop working at 6 at closing time during Open Beading in order to Bead with you until whenever we decide to leave (usually 9-ish). Last week was a surprise full house!! Definitely some of my favorite hours of last week. As I mentioned earlier, I started a pair of earrings I have been dying to make since I purchased the pattern in March!! The pattern came from ThePacificThread on Etsy and the designer also has helpful vids on YouTube and I love the earrings and they are as light as the feather they resemble. The other bit of Beading I did 2 Saturdays ago is a kit from Diakonos Designs that is available at Foxy Squirrel along with several other really cool and really pretty straightforward kits. It took less than an hour (minimal guilt for Beading instead of working nonstop!) and the only tool I used was snips to trim the leather fringe! Excellent for beginning Beaders or Makers!
