Hi, Foxy Beaders,
Was your week sprinkled with surprises, kindnesses, and Beads? I'm happy to say that mine was. There was an awful lot of other stuff, too. But the surprises, kindnesses, and Beads are what keep me warm on the inside and moving on the outside.
We made Sunday Funday a Foxy Squirrel "thing" today. We wore our play clothes and got out the polymer clay and napkins (and a little bitta glitter). We experimented with image transfers and something like decoupage on clay before it was baked. It was not about the outcome, it was totally about the experience of being a beginner with an open mind and trying something new with other curious makers. Some researched techniques before (and during) class and we shared ideas with each other. As can happen with "researching" projects...we ended up with even more Sunday Funday projects to try!!
Open Beading is back this week on Wednesday. If you haven't joined one of these sessions yet, they are a casual gathering of Beaders and makers. Some hang out the entire day and others come by later. We work on individual projects, chitchat, share ideas and inspiration, and more often than not, we laugh! Preregistration with $5 fee is required to make sure we have enough spots. If you make any Foxy Squirrel purchases during Open Beading, the $5 fee is applied as a coupon to your purchase.
This Saturday, November 15, Rhonda is teaching Zipper Needle-Felted Pumpkins!! No experience is required. I think the act of needle felting is rather rhythmic and cathartic. And, of course, I LOVE embellishing!! Information is below and you can register here.
Omaha Beady Bunch Members continue to make progress on the Peace Chain Project. I forgot to take a picture, but I am guessing we have over 10 feet of Beaded Chain so far. Toho has donated some Beads if you would need some and would like to be a part of this international project for peace. They are available at the shop. Of course, you can use Beads from your own stash, as well. Remember that you can use any stitch that you like to create your rings and links of Beaded chain. You can find more information about the project here and the pattern is below.
That's all for now! Inspo & links & Newsletter Exclusive Special below...
Thank you for reading & BEADING!

Gorgeous pendant came with a chain but a very color-savvy Beader & her wire-wrapping partner collab to create beaded ropes with custom closures for this and these other 2 wire-wrapped pendants they picked up at a gem & mineral show.
She chooses the colors & Beads the ropes and he creates and installs the closures. Love them so much!!
I can't stop admiring this rhythmic stitching with these Spacer Beads in Metallic and Matte Metallic Finishes! Spacers are for way more than separating Beads. They add an elegance and depth to Beadwork. Try them in your next design and share your creations!
